The Health Complications of Candida Yeast Infection

Candidiasis is the overgrowth of a type of fungus called Candida albicans.  The overgrowth of Candida albicans will lead to yeast infection.  The body normally has Candida especially in warm and moist areas such as the mouth, throat, digestive tract and genitals.  A yeast infection happens when the number of Candida albicans outnumbers the probiotic bacteria that maintain the balance.
Candida yeast infection when left untreated for a long time can be fatal.  Candida moves to the blood stream and can settle in other parts of the body.  This will result in other complications such as sinus problems, rashes, joint problems, acne, and many more.
Candida should live in a warm and moist area for it to survive.  When it moves to the digestive system it will interfere with the normal function of the digestive tract.  The yeast cell that thrives in the intestines embeds itself in the mucus membranes and starts to feed from the digestive enzymes and the undigested food.  This can lead to malnutrition which later leads to serious health problems.

The immune system will also be weakened once you have a Candida yeast infection.  Candida is able to produce more than 50 toxic substances that can contaminate your body.  These substances harm the tissues which weaken the immune system and body organs such as the lungs, kidneys, bladder, liver and brain.

The most common toxin that Candida releases into the body is acetaldehyde.  When acetaldehyde transforms into ethanol it can cause more aggravating symptoms such as:
  • Thrush
  • Vaginal yeast infection
  • Diarrhea
  • Constipation
  • Bloating
  • Upper back pain
  • Heartburn
  • Sores in mouth and anus
  • Brain fog
  • Dental Problems
  • Migraines
  • Depression
  • Blurred Vision
  • Panic attacks
  • High cholesterol
  • Athlete’s foot
  • Asthma
Candidiasis can cause the following:

Food intolerance and environmental sensitivities:  When the toxins from Candida enter into the body’s blood stream it has an adverse reaction from the pollutants.  Candida can cause food allergies, food intolerance and other sensitivities which can cause serious conditions in the long run.

Leaky Gut Syndrome: Candida can cause inflammation and physical damage to the gut.  When Candida overgrows it creates legs that are called rhizoids that cut the gut.  Leaky gut can lead to bowel disorders, allergies and asthma.

Weakened immune system: When the Candida albicans enters the blood stream, the immune system reacts and because the Candida molecules are very similar to the molecules of the human tissue the immune system also attacks the healthy tissues of the body which weakens it.  Many serious health problems will develop once the immune system is weakened.

Yeast infection is a very serious and potentially dangerous disease. We must not leave it untreated and understand what causes it to procure the best mean of eliminating this life threatening condition.
